Summary:
I wish to apply as a reservoir engineer in your reputable establishment. I graduated June,2011 from China University of Geoscience and had previously worked as an international mineral exploration and mine geologist for over six years.
Six months prior to my graduation, I received an invitation to render my internship with the Sinopec petroleum research institute (a subsidiary of china national petroleum company) as a graduate research engineer and soon after my graduation, given a six month contract to join them.
Here, I worked on seismic section, such as seismic interpretations, basin analysis, sequence stratigraphic analysis of the basin and also reporting on regular basis to the head of the department. My research at the graduate school was focused on Sand body, depositional and reservoir characteristics of the “Laminaria High” in Bonaparte Basin, NW Australia. Here the main aim was to describe reservoir by outlining the petro physical properties (porosity & Permeability), using both microscopic and macroscopic methods, analyze the sand body (thickness, grain size analysis), outline the trend of the sand body on both the well logs, and also on a plan section. Data used in the research includes seismic section, well logs, laboratory values of porosity and permeability as well as some literature publications.
