Job Title: Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer

Design & develop new and/or improved manufacturing processes in support of the Company’s strategic plan.

Support product development by improving or implementing new designs, manufacturing processes and test methods.

Position Responsibilities

- Design, develop and qualify new processes in order to support product changes & enhancements

- Complete projects (including product enhancements) in an aggressive manner consistent with corporate objectives.

- Fabricate design solutions; provide product performance analysis.

- Travel to other Medtronic, Inc. locations required as needed for projects.

- Generate Manufacturing Process Instructions, Test Protocols/Reports & Test Methods.

- Provide concepts for tooling & fixturing required to fabricate &/or characterize device performance.

- Contribute to solving complex problems at the product level.

- Conduct/supervise testing utilizing established test protocols and develop new protocols where applicable. Accurately document results.

- Assist in training of all levels of Engineering Specialists, Technicians & Production Operators.

- Maintain a comprehensive & accurate laboratory notebook.

- Provide support in the resolution of product complaints &/or safety issues.

- Work with the Manufacturing, Clinical Affairs, Sales & Marketing, & Quality Assurance functions to coordinate pilot production of new products.

- Fully embody & actively promote Ardian’s Core Principles & Quality Policy.

Basic Qualifications

- At least 5 years of medical device assembly and process development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, or other technical fields required.
- Knowledge of the medical device industry is required.
- Knowledge of Quality System standards & regulations & Quality Assurance
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems
- Basic working knowledge of electrical systems
- Experience with SolidWorks as well as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
