-Develop new concepts, and proofs of principle that provide a competitive performance advantage.-Develop equipment specifications for fit and function including performance requirements for sourcing and development via external vendors.-Apply Reliability Engineering methodologies in development, evaluation, and validation of the technical solutions. -Participate in/lead technical team of colleagues and vendors to accomplish project/program objectives-Work closely with external vendors and consultants to perform proof of principle tests, commercialize design for full scale application, perform factory acceptance tests, and support installation, startup and troubleshooting. -Develop and validate new equipment concepts that increase Operations flexibility and productivity, through automated solutions. -Integrate technical, cost, value, and safety considerations into the machine definition to comply with performance requirements. -Work with multi-discipline teams for scale up and commercialization of new equipment or systems (Engineering and Operations)-Manage projects to ensure schedule, cost, and quality on aggressive timelines.-Lead outside vendors, contractors and engineers to develop, validate, and implement initiatives.Requirements: BS in Engineering-Masters in Mechanical Engineering or multi discipline Engineering background-8+ years of engineering related equipment design experience-Strong technical competencies in mechanical equipment design with practical related experience. Consumer Products industry experience preferred.-Proven problem solving skills-Technical curiosity with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, aggressive, results-oriented culture.-Experience with modeling & simulation tools (i.e. Extend, Matlab/Simulink).-Solid team building and communications skills to work with all levels of the organization-Understands and applies industry standard project management methodologies.-Experience with concept modeling, experimental development, design, and results analysis..-Mechanical equipment design and equipment integration experience including robotics-Reliability Engineering Analysis-Statistical quality control (CpK) experience.-Robotics experience a plusPosition is considered medium work. It may involve sitting for extended periods of time. Able to lift up 15 pounds, able to see good visual acuity, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, organize and coordinate work, effective verbal and written communication skills.
