Software Engineer in Hampton(Software Engineering)

ATK Spacecraft Systems and Services is seeking a Software Engineer IV to support the Orion Program under the Technology, Engineering and Aerospace Mission Support (TEAMS) Contract at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. The primary objective is to develop the spaceflight software for the Orion Crew Module Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS).

An ideal candidate will have extensive experience, 5-10 years, with Matlab/Simulink and the Rhapsody programming languages. Experience with Microsoft Visual C++ is highly desirable because of its usefulness when creating executable models within Rhapsody. Knowledge of the Doors requirements management software is also a requirement. The candidate will be an intermediate to senior level developer. Experience with other programming languages such as National Instrument’s LabView and Visual Basic is a plus.

Required Skills:

A BS degree or higher in computer engineering or a related engineering discipline and relevant work experience is required.

Spaceflight software experience is highly desirable. (Matlab/Simulink, Rhapsody, LabView, Visual C++)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to travel will be required.
