Apply mechanical engineering knowledge to the design and development of standard Lantech products as well as product changes and enhancements. Solve mechanical engineering problems from component through system level. Provide engineering and technical support for the sales, procurement, manufacturing and field service teams. On occasion, travel to customer sites to conduct problem solving in support of current technical equipment issues (less than 10%).

Must have a minimum of 5-8 years of Mechanical Engineering experience designing and/or troubleshooting OEM equipment. Must have demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis of electro/mechanical systems. Prior experience with or knowledge of machining, fabricating and welding strongly preferred. Project management experience a plus but not required. Clean sheet design experience a great plus.

BSME required, Masters in Mechanical Engineering or MBA a plus.

Strong fundamental engineering and problem solving skills required. Must be a self starter and able to make independent decisions. Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of associates. Must have good multi-tasking skills and be able to maintain multiple projects. Must be proficient in use of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD design software as well as MS Office suite. Knowledge of ANSYS and other FEA software is a plus but not required. Willing to continue education. Must be able to mentor and teach junior MEs.
