Senior Electrical Engineer(Electrical Engineering)

ATK Integrated Weapon Systems (IWS) is looking for Senior Electrical Engineer in Pelham.As a leading producer of medium-caliber gun systems for ground, sea, and air platforms,ATK IWS also produces a complete family of medium-caliber training and tactical ammunition that meets today’s requirements and serves as the cornerstone for tomorrow’s Future Combat Systems. ATK Electronics and Fire Control develops the Fire Control Electronics, Sensor Packages, and Servo Controls for Integrated Weapon Systems. This includes both hardware and software for these embedded system components.

Job Responsibilities:

Support the development of Integrated Weapon Systems in both hardware and software design of Fire Control Electronics, Sensor Electronics, Servo Control, and operator control stations.

Support the development of video tracking hardware and software.

Support of Air Burst Munitions system design, existing analog and digital control systems, and electronic Special Tools and Test Equipment unique to ATK IWS products.

Work as a member of a design team developing ATK IWS electronic and control products.

Support integration efforts involving ATK IWS products.

Product improvements related to analog and digital control systems.

Provide technical support for an on and off site testing and product demonstrations, including instrumentation and software support.

Both domestic and foreign travel is required.

Required Qualifications:

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, required.

4+ years related experience, required.

Demonstrated understanding of embedded systems hardware and software, required.

Detailed understanding of Digital Signal Processors and associated circuitry, required

Expert in C, C++, Assembly, HTML, and XML programming languages, required.

Understanding of the software design cycle and software documentation, required.

Must have experience in communications protocols CANbus, RS-485, RS422, RS232, and Ethernet.

Preferred Qualifications:

MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferred.

Digital and analog control systems experience, preferred.

Working knowledge of MatLab, MS Office products, and web technologies, preferred.

DoD Secret Clearance, preferred.
