Quality Engineer – Injection Molding
Our Client, a leading international consumer products company, has hired Hallmark to find a strong hands-on quality engineer for their manufacturing operations in the New Haven Area. This is a staff position with a strong company offering full benefits and a wonderful career path.
Responsibilities:
• Lead Advanced Quality Planning for new product development, including:
• Coordinate and perform advanced quality planning for new products and processes
• Develop engineering standards and test protocols for new interactions
• Test products for applicable quality standards
• Analyze test data and give data-based recommendations
• Lead PFMEA and Control Plan development for product and process validation prior to launch
• Lead product and process validations according to Corporate procedures
• Coordinate activities with the Metrology and Gage Development
• Support Project Manager in representing Quality Engineering on Product Delivery Teams, including proactive planning, concise reporting of status-to-plan and effective interaction with cross-functional colleagues
• Lead activities to resolve and prevent reoccurrence of post-production quality concerns
• Partner with Research, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Manufacturing functions to achieve team goals
Required Qualifications:
• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• MS degree a strong plus.
• CQE Certification preferred
• 3+ years experience in Product or Manufacturing Engineering including direct involvement with high volume injection molding and/or high speed assembly equipment and tools
• Must be capable of applying appropriate statistical thinking in development and production conditions, team problem solving and prevention using up-to-date methodology and technical analysis skills.
