Weber Aircraft, a division of Zodiac Aerospace, is a leader in the manufacturing of commercial airline passenger seats. We are headquartered in Gainesville, just north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and offer a low cost of living and small town atmosphere.
Selected individual will be responsible for overall program performance. Will coordinate with program management, certification, tooling, proto, fabrication, manufacturing, purchasing and the electrical group to ensure program success. Will also supervise the completion of engineering projects within the definitions of the airframe manufacturer, airline specifications, FAA regulations, Weber requirements and within engineering budget and schedules.
Qualified candidates must have a B.S. in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience with at least 7 years related design experience and 3 years supervisory background. Extensive technological knowledge of all phases of engineering applicable to seat products, basic knowledge of CAD systems and structural experience in sheet metal, machining and composite design are required. Must be cognizant of the current standards of the aircraft industry and specifications including FAA and EASA rules and have manufacturing interface experience with the total company capabilities in processes and controls. Good organization, planning, prioritizing and written/verbal communication skills are also required.
