PTR Baler and Compactor Company is a 4th generation privately-held manufacturer of recycling and waste equipment. It manufacturers compactors [self-contained and stationary] and vertical and horizontal balers. With the expansion of the horizontal baling line, the Engineering Dept will need a full-time engineer to work with customers on adapting horizontal baler configurations for specific uses, space requirements, volume of process, and preferences. As such, we are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer with proficient knowledge of electrical motor controls, PLCs, relay logic, etc. and the ability to effectively balance multiple customer relationships with typical day-to-day full-time engineering responsibilities.

Requirements

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years experience working as an engineer in capital equipment manufacturing [required]
Proficiency with CAD [we currently use the 2010 version]
Knowledge/proficiency with reading electrical schematics, understanding relay logic, PLC's, and motor controls
