The position plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials and personnel to improve efficiency of operations by performing the following duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Studies functional statements, organization charts and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication.
· Develops, manages, creates, and executes capital projects including creation of documents, issuing PO’s, creating scope, schedule, and cost estimates, and documents required to meet financial policy.
· Coordinates and executes construction activities including communication, coordination, training, planning, debriefing, and overseeing contractors and all construction activities related to project activities.
· Manage project schedule and budgets to execute project deliverables on time and within budget.
· Work with PTM on management of capital planning and capital budget for fiscal year including coordination with corporate engineering.
· Communicate resource needs to PTM for project execution.
· Support coordination and execution of corporate engineering managed projects.
· Provide technical support to production floor and maintenance when required.
· Work with PTM to develop long range capital plans and site plans.
· Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
· Analyzes workforce utilization, facility layout and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
· Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment and purchase of equipment.
· Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
· Develops management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
· This position will support all Quality and Food Safety programs.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in an engineering discipline with 3-5 years related experience. Must have project experience, budget experience, equipment installation, continuous improvement experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
