Process Improvement Engineer (PIE) (PepsiCo)
Job Title: Process Improvement Engineer (PIE)

This position will assist in the implementation of the site's strategic plan; provide project management support to pillar teams; provide process and productivity improvement for Ft. Pierce. Also focus on analysis and recommendations to deliver True Efficiency to world class levels and greater productivity, efficiency, line speed, flexibility, quality and lower costs.
Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
-Support continuous improvements to the downtime tracking / analysis and response systems;
-Maintenance systems background with some ownership of PM system
-Prepare specifications and design process flows for assigned projects
-Supervision of work conducted by maintenance and operations teams, contractors, and other personnel;
-Ensure the technical integrity and performance of processes complies with regulatory requirements;
-Monitor processes to ensure optimal operation
-Facilitate NWT CAPDo & Run Right processes
-Acquire and effectively utilize Lean Six Sigma Kaizen Leader certification including facilitation of Kaizen events
-Analyze, identify, recommend, and implement solutions for reducing raw material waste, production inefficiencies, and non-value added activities through Loss Analysis
-Working with the PM Pillar on Down Day priorities by prioritizing the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Teams, Kaizens, and other improvements
-Leading and facilitating Simple Root Causes (SRC) and 7-Steps
-Assist in the development of the capital plan for cost related projects to support business unit objectives. Prepare justification for all cost savings related projects
-Participate in plant JHA Team by writing assigned JHA and implementing countermeasures for area.
-Own assigned line Cost Management Process (CMP) initiates making sure that the goal are met on time and putting plans in place for ongoing CMP ideation.
-Coach/Lead an Autonomous maintenance team within assigned area of responsibilities
-Other duties as specificed
Requirements:
-Bachelor of Science in a related Engineering field: mechanical or electrical or other.
-Minimum 3years experience in supply chain, R&D, technical services or operations in a food manufacturing environment;
-Strong project plan development, execution and management skills
-Proven track record of initiating innovation both as an individual and as a member of a team;
-Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic engineering is a strong plus;
-Excellent communication skills
-Strong computer skills (MS Project, Excel; Word; PowerPoint; Outlook)
-Ability to achieve results in a dynamic and fast paced environment;
-Capable of making effective decisions
-Experience in a manufacturing environment with proven problem solving and project management skills
-Ability to work flexible shift assignments
-Strong technical and analytical aptitude
-Must be willing and able to travel 5% - 10% of the time
