Engineer will support the mechanical design team for design, providing requirements to suppliers, integration and test of simulated crew stations. The Engineer will work closely with a multi-disciplined team to support design, test and implement solutions in the existing trainer suite. Engineer will work with customer on requirements and solutions to issues related to upgrade. Engineering activities will include but will not be limited to support of requirements development, analysis, design, hardware specification creation, manufacturing data development, hardware development and integration of flight crew training devices for government and commercial customers. Current projects include development and upgrades to training devices utilized in support of the following programs, AH64D Longbow Apache Helicopter, F-15 Eagle, F/A-18 Super Hornet, F-16 Falcon, F-22 Raptor, P-8A Poseidon, and T-45 Goshawk.
Successful Candidate should be familiar with design elements required to support the design of the following (using a Computer Aided Design (CAD) system): equipment cabinet layout and packaging, electrical equipment packing, mechanism design, visual system structures, Control mechanisms, maintenance trainer packing and structure, crew station trainer packing and structure, basic structure design, mechanical engineering design tools. Some basic knowledge of Solid Modeling Software (i.e. Unigraphics, SolidWorks, Catia, etc.) is also desired. Drafting skills are also required.CompetenciesGeneral
