General Responsibilities:br /
Under general direction of a higher level engineer, the primary responsibility of this position is to design, plan, test, and coordinate multiple processes of product development used in automotive brake and suspension design and application.br /
br /
Job Responsibilities:br /
The primary responsibility of this position includes, but is not limited to:br /
br /
• Individual will be responsible for coordinating all product development activity between OEMbr /
customer and responsible departments within the company.br /
• Individual will need to comprehend and transfer customer requirements to responsible activitiesbr /
within the company.br /
• Facilitate and manage program QCD timing in the roll of program manager.br /
• Directly communicate and interface with OEM customers for issues regarding the products,br /
including customers’ related concerns.br /
• Review and interface with OEM customer for warranty data and initiate and coordinate actionsbr /
internally to improve quality.br /
• Conduct and/or support lab testing necessary for related product.br /
• Support sales staff to develop and establish marketing/pricing strategy.br /
• Support customer vehicle development work – related to suspension tuning.br /
• Knowledge of TS16949 requirements to support job responsibilities.br /
Support and facilitate necessary CAD/CAE activity to meet customer requirementsbr /
br /
Qualifications (Education, Skills and/or special Knowledge):br /
The ideal candidate will:br /
br /
• Possess a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineeringbr /
• Have a minimum of 3-5 years applicable experience in related fieldbr /
• Have working knowledge and experience with APQP program managementbr /
• Be proficient withbr /
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)br /
- Microsoft Projectbr /
• Experience with the following is desired, (not required)br /
- CAD software (i.e. CATIA V4, V5 preferred, UG, IDEAS others)br /
- CAE/FEA software (ie.. ANSYS)br /
- Math software - Matlab/Simulink,br /
- Programming Language - Visual Basic, C++br /
- Statistical software – ie. Minitabbr /
• Have experience tracking and reporting design changes.br /
• Have experience coordinating and facilitating several small projects or one major project.br /
• Experience interfacing with customers is a plus.br /
br /
Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong/effective verbal and written communication skills. Experience with PCs and the above application software as well as Lotus Notes are also required.br/br/
