Responsibilities

Stantec’s Calgary Office is currently seeking a qualified candidate to undertake an intermediate role for LEED Facilitation/Sustainability Analyst services. Reporting to the Managing Leads of the Sustainable Solutions team within Stantec’s Building Engineering group, the purpose of this position is to provide direction and leadership in the execution of sustainability projects. You would bring good communication skills, technical strengths, project experience, ability to provide excellent client service and a commitment to sustainable design. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Facilitation of LEED projectsProject management of sustainability projects.Supervision and mentorship to junior technologists and engineers in project executionPreparation and review of reports and LEED® submissionsFostering business development opportunities combined with maintaining and growing current business and client relationships Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following:Minimum 3 year's experienceLEED Accreditation Project management and mentoring skillsComputer literacy including proficiency in Word and ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsReport writing skillsAssetsKnowledge of HVAC, lighting systems, and building control systemsExperience in building energy efficiency Experience in alternative energy including any of the following technologies: solar thermal, solar PV, wind, geo-exchange, cogeneration, district energy, biomass, and ocean energyExperience in carbon management, GHG/emissions quantification or verificationProficiency in one or more of the following: TRNSYS, IES Virtual Environment, eQUEST, EnergyPlus and/or Therm.FrenchQualified candidates who are highly motivated and eager to commit to Stantec’s strategic initiative to become a Top 10 global design firm should submit their resume and cover letter.
