Field Service Engineer – Sigma Wireless Communications

A vacancy exists for a Field Service Engineer to join our Service & Engineering Team, reporting to our Service & Engineering Manager based in Dublin.

The primary responsibilities of the role are:

* The repair & programming of the equipment we distribute, which includes PMR, Tetra, Microwave, Voice Recording, and Paging Equipment, to suit our customer requirements.

* Commissioning, testing and installation of equipment as required.

* Meeting our customer commitments in relation to service response times, and service

delivery.

* Working within our existing service team to achieve our goals.

* Working on related equipment interfaces and systems, as required.

Experience, Skills & Job Requirements

The successful candidates will:

* Be qualified in Telecommunication Electronics to Certificate level, or higher.

* Have some relevant experience and technical competence in working on market leading PMR, Tetra, Microwave and Paging Equipment.

* Have experience of installation, commissioning, and repair of this equipment.

* Be fully customer orientated and committed to meeting our goals.

* Have excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain communication channels both internally, and with our customers and suppliers.

* Have a flexible approach to work and be resourceful in problem solving.

* Show a desire to expand your existing technical knowledge, and the ability to learn new technologies.

* Be willing to work nationwide and outside normal hours in order to successfully meet our customer commitments.

* Be part of our afterhours Engineer on call team.

* Have a full clean driving license.
