Superior Completion Services is currently seeking a Design Engineer I for its Houston, TX office.

Summary:

Sand Control and Completions is currently seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join the team in our Houston office. Our ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in this industry, have an interest in working in a state of the art test lab, and bring a strong interest in completion services.

Job Function and Expectations:

Responsible for completion of component and product design.
Design or direct the construction of layouts of possible designs and make recommendations.
Ensure that manufacturing drawings are consistent with the working layouts for product designs.
Draft documentation of new products and assist in assembly and lab testing of prototypes
Begin development of general product knowledge.
Provide basic technical assistance to worldwide field operations and plant personnel.
Initiate change notices, test requests, and write test reports.
Review and approve design drawings as appropriate based upon knowledge gained.
Disposition of rejected parts after sufficient experience gained, as determined by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree is required, in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
This is an entry level position. A minimum of 1-3 years of oilfield experience is preferred, including working in an internship or co-op.
Ability to work “hands on” in a test lab facility. conditions.
Knowledge and experience with AutoCad and/or Inventor is highly recommended.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Excellent written and spoken communication, efficiency and time management skills are required.

Education
Bachelors in Engineering is required.
