Applied Control Equipment, an Emerson Local Business Partner and global leader of process systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for a Control System Engineer to join our fast paced, customer orientated project and services team in our Denver, CO location. The successful candidate will assist our Engineering and Sales teams in the development, delivery and lifecycle care of process control solutions for our industrial customers.br /

The ideal candidate will possess 2-10 years of experience working in the process control industry. br /
br /
Role and Responsibilities:br /
br /
• Deliver quality solutions and services to our many customers and industriesbr /
• Develop control system designs and documentationbr /
• Implementation of the design into the DeltaV control systembr /
• Internal and customer witnessed control system testingbr /
• Process simulationbr /
• Operator and Maintenance training br /
• Process equipment installation and startupbr /
• System upgrades and preventative maintenance activitiesbr /
• Share “Emergency Call” responsibilities with the Projects and Services teambr /
• Travel periodically to customer facilities within the Rocky Mountain Regionbr /
• Work independently and as part of a team while extensively interfacing with customersbr /
• Must be willing and eager to learn to apply new automation products on a regular basisbr /

Qualifications and Skills:br /
br /
• B.S. in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred br /
• Provide excellent verbal and written communication br /
• Experience with DCS/PLC systemsbr /
• Experience with DeltaV is a plusbr /
• Proficiency with XP/Server 2003 and W7/Server 2008br /
• Understanding of OSI’s PI, OPC and DCOM is a plusbr /
• Comfortable integrating and troubleshooting Ethernet/Fiber optic/Wireless networks br /
• Understand general digital bus and HART technologies br /
• Troubleshoot problems in a logical and timely fashionbr /
• Requires the ability to read and understand PID’s and control descriptions br /
• Experience with designing control panels, sizing power supplies, creating loop sheets, and developing wiring drawings for marshalling, I/O integration, and power distribution is a plusbr /
