The US and Latin America/Caribbean region of WorleyParsons has an immediate opening for a Chief Process Engineer. A Chief Process Engineer is qualified to serve as the Process Manager of a Major Project, defined as one which requires two or more Area Leads and twenty or more process engineers. Chief Process Engineers should be adept at working on either Front End Engineering Projects that start with conceptual engineering to produce Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) or Detailing Engineering Projects that produce Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) as the primary deliverables. Chief Process Engineers are adept at utilizing process engineering computer software tools and following design procedures and should be able to direct others in the use of such tools. This position requires an excellent working knowledge of pertinent regulations, standards, codes and design practices.
Lead Process Engineer with a significant amount of experience in most of the following technology sectors:
* Gas Processing
* Gas Treating
* Acid Gas Removal technologies such as MDEA, Ucarsol, Rectisol, Selexol, Pura Treat, Ortloff, etc.
* Glycol Dehydration
* NGL Fractionation Technology
* Natural Gas Liquid (NGL)
* Cryogenic industrial gas separation,
* Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
The ideal candidate should be comfortable in the front-end conceptual design stage developing the gas gathering, collection and processing options. The engineer should be proficient in:
* Supervision and direction of Process Engineers
* Process Design Basis development
* Gas plant configuration development – evaluation of processing options
* Process simulation and optimization
* Process flow diagrams
* Heat and Material Balance development
* Development of process equipment data sheets and equipment list
* Cost Estimating support
* Pipeline hydraulic calculations
* Report writing
* Proposal Assistance
Job Requirements
* Must have the legal authorization to work in the United States
* Must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
* Must have at least 15 years experience in Gas Processing/Gas Treating with acid gas removal and glycol dehydration
* LNG experience is highly preferred
Chief Process Engineers must have outstanding communication, technical and interpersonal skills in order to interact with Client Representatives, Project Management, Engineering Discipline Leads, Project Auxiliary Support Staff (Project Controllers, Schedulers, Estimators, etc.), Process Area Leads and supporting Process Engineers. Chief Process Engineers must have outstanding organizational skills so as to direct and guide others in project execution.
During project execution Chief Process Engineers strive to maintain schedules and budgets while ensuring that all deliverables meet quality requirements. A willingness to travel for the WorleyParsons business is expected. Chief Process Engineers may occasionally serve as technical consultants.
