Automation Engineer for revolutionary product
Contract Engineer Position located near Tampa, FL, possibly leading to longer term employment in an exciting company poised to create an industry. This position is for immediate hire.

• Works with Senior Design Engineer to test, document and implement a new type of robotic automated laser labeling system
• Helps to maximize efficiency of system by testing different methods and techniques of automation and working with senior programming staff to improve speed and reliability.
• Ideally has the ability to take ownership of embedded code in different components of system (machine vision, PLCs, embedded laser computers) to be able to make improvement modifications with minimal supervision
• Has knowledge of commonly-used testing techniques for large automation equipment or ability to research and find techniques to be used for reliability testing
• Selected candidate may be field deployed to test equipment at customer sites, will work under immediate supervision and report to a supervisor

Preferred candidates will have Engineering degrees - preferably an EE or Mechanical Engineering degree. If the candidate has an IE Engineering degree, we would like to see previous experience

Scheduled 45 hrs a week, can be flexible on when hours performed

Only local candidates will be considered as no relocation or per diem is available. Candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen. Salary based on experience.

Requesting:
3-6 years experience with design/building automation equipment
Experience in documenting electrical systems
Experience with Machine Vision, PLC, and Servo Systems
Experience with large machine testing
Laser experience a plus

Preferred Skills:
MS Office, Solid Works, Microsoft Visual Studio, C, C# and C++, Galil PLC, logic for programming, Windows XP & 7, Mechanical and Electrical Assembly, Cognex Vision system, various industrial sensors, MASCA Laser Systems, embedded computers, Yaskawa Servo Systems, Animatics Servo Systems, FESTO Pneumatics
