Perform HVAC design. Perform and supervise calculations to understand the thermal loads, comfort and energy useage of various building types, through spreadsheet calculations, standard industry software and advanced specific three dimensional software programs. Attend meetings with clients, architects and other design team members to understand the brief of designs to be carried out and to describe the technical requirements to deliver the mechanical design. Produce and manage the delivery of documentation (including narratives, drawings and specifications) for all building design stages through construction documentation and contract administration. Project manage teams in the mechanical group and also wider multi-discipline teams, including training, supervising and reviewing the work of others.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field followed by 5 years post baccalaureate progressive experience in job offered or related mechanical engineering occupation.

Experience and/or education must include: 1. Passive Systems design, including natural ventilation, ground-coupled system; 2. Advanced low energy hydronic systems, including chilled beams and radiant floors / ceilings; 3. Renewable energy-based HVAC solutions including solar, photovoltaics, wind and/or biomass; 4. Energy modeling using eQuest or EnergyPlus; 5. Central plant and/or district Energy planning; 6. Large format retail system design.
