JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for maintaining and analyzing the asset availability database for the Converting Operations area.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Analyze and assign follow-up for eliminating production losses; work with reliability engineers, maintenance and operations personnel to resolve production losses due to equipment failures; facilitate root cause analysis for determining the root cause of production losses; maintain the maximum sustainable capability of the process unit by reviewing maximum asset capability routinely and making appropriate changes; report production availability losses to area and mill management; coordinate the areas efforts to gather and report equipment ranking, RCA analysis, critical equipment with RCM strategy in place, ratio of maintenance and unreliability costs to replacement asset value; and evaluate and categorize production loses by equipment line. Drive efficiencies between Maintenance and Operations, by optimizing the Pre shut down Inspections and Scheduled Shutdown work orders, to align directly with the highest valued causes of: Downtime, Slow Back and Waste identified by the AAL Paretos. Participate in and support the Productivity Improvement Process (PIP) teams, which will be focused on implementation of a Reliability Centered Maintenance processes for top critical business lines. When necessary, the AAL, Optimizer and Gate Keeper will jointly develop new operating or maintenance procedures that will improve and sustain break through in productivity.

EDUCATION:

BS Degree in Engineering (EE, ME, or ChE), Business, or Pulp and Paper Making preferred.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of 5 yrs manufacturing experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Fundamental economic skills; excellent computer skills – proficient in Excel, Power Point, MS Word, etc.; ability to effectively troubleshoot operational issues and analyze efficiency and equipment reliability data; strong technical troubleshooting skills; strong communication, interpersonal, planning and organizational skills.
