Applications Engineer (Grundfos Pumps Corporation)
Job Title: Applications Engineer

Location: Olathe, KS
Provide prompt and friendly technical support to partners, customers, sales force, and Partner Service for existing products and their applications.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support to customers and end-users for existing Grundfos products and their applications.
2. Provide domestic pumping system troubleshooting support to partners, customers, and service technicians.
3. Provide technical assistance and product training to Grundfos employees and to customers.
4. Analyze and write reports regarding special product returns to Grundfos Service Departments and Grundfos Authorized Service Centers.
5. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required, technical discipline preferred. 0-3 years experience in technical customer service support.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of basic centrifugal pump and pumping applications.
2. Knowledge of basic pump calculations and energy estimating.
3. Aility to work with end-users.
4. Aility to communicate technical concepts in simplified terms.
5. Ability to understand and troubleshoot products in domestic use applications, including products with integrated controls.
6. Computer experience with PCs, Microsoft applications, enterprise & e-mail systems, and Web Browsers.
7. Strong Customer Service skills.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
