Job Title: Application Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple engineered system projects to completion, meeting delivery dates, cost targets, and system performance expectations, focusing on excellent customer satisfaction. This includes but not limited to the following:
o Complete Project Definition
o Perform Tollgate/customer meetings
o Correct Use of Forms (internal processes)
o Use of issues list to manage a project to completion, obtaining sign-off
o Timely Communication to Customers.
o Cost management on Projects
o Time management
o Complete and Accurate System Documentation.
• Embrace and follow the standard work practices developed for application engineering.
• Perform the engineering required to deliver an engineered system that meets and or exceeds the application requirements.
o Applying Basic Engineering Principles
o Using System Problem Solving Methods
o Developing New Solutions/Applications
o Appropriate Equipment Knowledge
• Support field installations, which may include performance of installation work as needed.
• Complete ownership of a project, performing the previously described functions to meet customer timing and performance requirements. This will include overtime and travel as required.
• Work within the procedures set forth in Nordson ICS ISO-9001 instructions.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or engineering technology.

Experience:
1 - 5 years experience in project related engineering. Capital equipment experience is preferred.

Skills:
• Must be willing to travel 40% - domestic and international travel
• Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office, including Access, are required
• Effective communication skills
• Demonstrated electrical troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze cause and effect with complex system design
• Experience in automotive production processes is preferred.
• Working knowledge of PLC’s is preferred.
